Don’t use full screen mode.. if you get a game which you can’t solve and are in full screen mode you have to power down (use restart) to get out of screen.
I was happy to find a spider game that I didn’t have to play on the internet. Sadly this app leaves a bit to be desired. If you play all the up facing cards off a stack it DOES NOT turn over a new card. No way you can win at that point since nothing you do will make the next card turn over. I’m bummed and deleting it off the hard drive. That one fact alone is a deal breaker. I hope the developer fixes it because I love playing spider.
Full of bugs with no way to save a game
There is nothing good to say about this program! It is rife with bugs and completely lacking in tools to control the environment and game!

This is the best free Spider Solitaire app I have found. I haven't had any issues with exiting app or any other issues using it.
Started out OK
This is a buggy app. I finally had to delete it when it wouldn't let me play a new game...just the same one over and over. (even after uninstalling and reinstalling it, the same game came back!) But before that, if you wanted to move a card or a column, the game wouldn't let you. It decided where it was going to go and that was that. You cannot click on the pile of new cards if there are any empty spaces in your lineup. I made a lot of matches and had only a few cards left and had to undo a bunch of successful columns just to play the next move. Yes, it's free, but it's too buggy to bother with......and I certainly wouldn't pay money for an upgrade because this one is so bad, I couldn't trust the creator to have done a good job.
Automatic Full Screen A Drag When Closing the Game
I enjoy the game however, I am very disappointed that the game opens in a full screen which works well visually, however, when you are ready to close down the game there are several steps which prompts you to go to the menu, wait for a new screen to open, then, in addition, wait for the app store to open, then close the app store window, and then close the original tab that open. Dude! I am willing to pay to bypass that foolishness.
worked great until recent update
Too many bugs in it now, can't even use this app anymore. "If it ain't broke-don't fix it!!"
Update was a poor dceision
Since the last update, the game loads in full screen mode which locks up my macbook pro. I have to force quit or power down the computer to be able to access my system. The update needs to be downgraded to the previous update or the glitch/bug needs to be fixed.

It wasn’t broken
Now it is. Can’t get out of full screen. Can’t choose random or winnable games. Doesn’t track high scores. Nuked my old install so I can’t revert to a usable version. Is that why it says ‘developer version’?

There is no screen setting that will lead to a successful launch of the app. It's just broken.
Bug?
Sometimes cards don't turn over - needs work. Other than that it's a good game.
Quick but buggy
I appreciate the fact that this is a free version of Spider. And after all, you really can’t bash it if you didn’t have to pay for it. But like others here I also have had problems with playing a card off of the stack and the card underneath not flipping over. I found that you can try stacking other cards onto that deck to see which one actually sticks, thereby revealing the card that never flipped. Once you do that, you can continue to play normally. But it does happen often. Other than that it works very quickly and seems to function well.
BEWARE
I played about a half hour and my computer started to glitch, forcing me to restart. Once it rebooted, my computer wouldn't take my password and I had to recover my account with a new password. All my other accounts are asking me for the same information. This game reminded me of websites that are full of bugs & viruses and it cannot be trusted.
Spider Solitaire Free
I downloaded the game tonight. I played 1 game and won. It would not give me an option of playing again. The screen remained on the game that I had completed, and would never start again, even when I restarted the computer. I deleted the application.
Okay Until It Stopped Responding
This game worked perfectly for about a week or two, and then I started having difficulty with the responsiveness of the game. Like some others mentioned in the comments section, this game became unresponsive to clicks to reveal a card that is faced down on the deck.

Has major bug that takes the fun out of the game
